After the president of Unisport FC de Bafang claimed on a radio station in Bafang that all of the club’s players had been paid their salaries since the start of the season, the affected players corrected the facts on the radio station that they had actually been paid since the start of the 2023/2024 season did not receive the player salaries guaranteed to them contractually. Likewise, only part of the contractually agreed earnest money was paid out. Based on the statements of the players concerned, the players were suspended from further match operations with immediate effect on January 11, 2024 in an internal disciplinary procedure due to behavior that was detrimental to the club.
